Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. in Katy, TX seeks an energetic Store Event Coordinator to plan and deliver engaging in-store events and children's birthday parties.

You will work with guests to ensure a fun, safe, and memorable experience while helping shoppers find what they need. You will manage multiple events, coordinate logistics with store teammates, and promote the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and coordinating children’s events.
• Ability to engage guests aged 4–94+ in a fun, creative environment.
• Excellent people skills and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple in-store events and children’s birthday parties.
• Engage with guests of all ages and demonstrate party activities.
• Instruct participants in craft projects and manage event add-ons (balloons, goody bags).
• Handle administrative tasks: emails, calls, and paperwork.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and store standards during events.
