Actalent seeks an experienced Party Chief to lead a two-person survey crew on land development, transportation, topo, and construction projects in Addison, TX. You will conduct field surveys, perform construction staking, designate utilities, and ensure safe, efficient field operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily crew activities, operating GPS and Trimble equipment, and delivering accurate survey data while supporting SUE efforts and maintaining gear and records.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of survey field experience including 1+ year as Party Chief
• Proficiency with GPS, total stations, and data collectors
• Construction staking experience required
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain

Party Chief

We are seeking an experienced Party Chief to lead a two-person survey crew supporting land development, transportation, topographic, and construction projects. This role is responsible for conducting field surveys, collecting accurate data, performing construction staking, designating underground utilities, and ensuring safe, efficient field operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily survey crew activities.
• Perform boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys.
• Operate GPS, total stations, data collectors, and Trimble equipment.
• Collect, document, and deliver accurate survey data.
• Support Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) and utility designation efforts as needed.
• Maintain survey equipment, vehicles, and field records.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, project schedules, and client requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of survey field experience, including 1+ year as a Party Chief or Crew Chief.
• Experience with boundary, land development, transportation, and construction surveys.
• Proficiency with GPS, total stations, and data collectors.
• Construction staking experience required.
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work outdoors in varying terrain and weather conditions.

Preferred

• Experience with Trimble equipment and software.
• SUE and underground utility designation experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Addison, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
