General Statement Of Duties

The Parts Technician is responsible for processing parts orders, stocking received parts, managing parts and packing supplies, and working in Assembly after completing their parts responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and understand daily service parts requests, including prioritization.
• Read 3D files and identify proper parts from drawings.
• Use computer systems to acquire parts diagrams and create assemblies for service orders, such as lock assemblies and pressed bearings.
• Assemble mechanical parts/kits for shipment.
• Operate shipping software to generate paperwork for UPS or FedEx and prepare shipments.
• Create custom packaging and palletize odd-sized items.
• Measure, cut, and bend stainless lines per customer specifications, including flaring and fitting.
• Identify and retrieve parts from multiple locations.
• Stock and manage inventory levels.
• Build correct seal kits, power units, etc., for service.
• Complete DOT Certification training for shipping restricted items.
• Obtain fork truck certification and demonstrate proficiency in moving and weighing items.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills

Mandatory:

• HS diploma and at least 5 years in a full-time service role.
• At least 2 years reading blueprints/CAD files.
• Mechanical inclination.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Knowledge of Mohawk’s products and services.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in English.
• Experience with MRP and UPS/FedEx software.

Desired:

• Experience with hydraulic systems and components.
• Complex product assembly or fabrication experience.

Physical Demands

Must have adequate senses or prosthetics, and be able to walk, stand, sit, push, pull, climb, kneel, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

Additional Information

This position is full-time, mid-senior level, in management and manufacturing within the Motor Vehicle Manufacturing industry. The salary range is $50,000 - $70,000 annually. The role is located in Amsterdam, NY.
