Job summary

MANCON in South Hill, VA is seeking a Parts Specialist I to provide counter service to VDOT employees, assist with inventory control, and perform data entry in inventory systems. The role requires a valid driver’s license and 1 year of auto parts experience, with 24-hour availability for emergencies.

Compensation ranges from $13.00 to $22.62 per hour, placement within range based on experience and certifications.

Qualifications

Valid Driver’s License with two years driving experience.
1 year experience with auto parts or heavy-duty truck parts.
24-hour availability during emergency and/or critical operations.
Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.

Responsibilities

Provide quality customer service to include but not limited to the following: Attention to detail, review familiarization with catalogs and manuals, meet and greet customers, verify requisitions for proper completion, assist with availability checks and research for correct parts.
Parts Pick up: Drive vehicle to designated locations to purchase/pick up parts and handle vendor documentation and invoice review.
Data Entry Requirements: Assist in generating invoices and entering vendor receiving documents in the inventory system.
Inventory Management Requirements: Assist in weekly cycle counts and wall-to-wall inventories.
Other Requirements: Follow guidelines, provide 24-hour support during emergencies, travel to locations to pick up parts, participate in training.
