Job summary

MANCON is seeking a Parts Specialist I in Salem, VA to provide counter service for VDOT parts and support inventory control. The role includes data entry, customer service, and occasional vehicle transport to pick up parts. Salary is an hourly range with placement based on experience and certifications.

The position requires driving, inventory tasks, and adherence to relevant SOPs and safety manuals. A forklift license and driving experience are preferred, with 24-hour availability for

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with two years driving experience.
• 1 year experience with auto parts or heavy‑duty truck parts.
• 24-hour availability during emergency and/or critical operations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service to include but not limited to the following: attention to detail, per SOPs and policy manuals.
• Drive vehicle to designated locations to purchase/pick up parts and review invoices for pricing and quantities.
• Assist in generating invoices and entering vendor receiving documents in inventory system.
• Perform weekly inventory cycle counts and participate in wall-to-wall inventories at site.
• Follow guidelines for vehicle and equipment maintenance and provide 24-hour support during emergencies.
