Job summary

MANCON is seeking a Parts Specialist I to provide counter service to VDOT employees, assist with inventory control and data entry in inventory systems, and occasionally drive a MANCON vehicle to pick up parts.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, 1 year of auto parts or heavy-duty truck parts experience, and 24-hour availability for emergencies. The position may involve travel to sites and inventory tasks.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License with two years driving experience.
• 1 year experience with auto parts or heavy-duty truck parts.
• 24-hour availability during emergency and/or critical operations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service, greet customers, and handle part inquiries.
• Review requisition forms for completeness (signatures, timestamps, part numbers, descriptions, quantities).
• Assist with inventory management and data entry in inventory systems.
• Drive company vehicle to designated locations to pick up parts.
• Review invoices at vendor location for pricing and quantity accuracy.
• Assist with generating invoices for customer requisitions in the inventory system.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts and wall-to-wall inventories.

Education

ASE certification (P1/P2)
