Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver high-level service to retail and installer customers and support store management. You will greet customers, assist in selecting merchandise, and perform daily store operations with a focus on accuracy and friendly service.

The role includes handling cash and credit transactions, assisting professional customers, and participating in training programs. Occasional delivery duties may be required, with eligibility per company policy.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, etc).
• Greet retail/walk-in customers, assist in merchandise selection.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists for professional customers.
• Complete required company training for the position.
• Answer store calls, lookup parts and quote prices, suggest related items.
• Handle cash, checks, credit cards, and make change securely.
• Process exchanges and returns per company policy.
• Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with image maker and planogram updates; stock shelves.
• Perform daily operational tasks: returns to DC, stock adjustments, inventory counts.
• Operate brake lathe and other test equipment after training.
• Provide in-store services (e.g., install wipers, battery tests) as allowed by state/local laws.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
