Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Parts Specialist - Customer Equipment Solutions (Parts Specialist - CES) to support the parts department and maintain inventory to meet customer and branch service needs. The role emphasizes reliability, strong work ethic, and teamwork.

You will engage with suppliers, manage orders, and contribute to efficiency and customer relations, with opportunities for advancement within the world’s largest equipment rental provider.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Heavy equipment knowledge is preferred.
• 2+ years of retail or sales exposure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to use technology tools to increase performance efficiency.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchase parts from manufacturers and suppliers.
• Acquire parts from other branches to maintain and replenish inventory.
• Process external and internal parts orders by completing invoices, updating inventory records, verifying customer credit and shipping parts as needed.
• Advise Management on parts activities, future trends and matters which affect the efficiency of the department regarding customer relations.
• Maintain current parts manuals, catalogs, literature and price lists for all equipment sold by the company.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Job Responsibilities

As a Parts Specialist - Customer Equipment Solutions (Parts Specialist - CES) at United Rentals, you will be responsible for supporting the parts department, including the maintenance of sufficient inventory levels to meet projected parts needs of customers and the branch’s service department.
