Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service rental equipment, perform minor repairs, and keep units clean and ready for customers.

You will inspect returned gear for damage, verify decals and safety compliance, and maintain paint and cleanliness of the fleet. Strong teamwork and excellent customer service are essential to support our operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Effective communication, multi-tasking and strong teamwork skills.
• Diligent safety awareness and practices are essential.
• Superior customer service skills are expected.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, minor repairs and cleaning of units in a timely manner.
• Check equipment for damage upon return.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, safety compliance, and ensure it is in good working order.
• Paint fleet equipment as directed.
• Operate equipment in a safe manner.
• Attend to other duties as needed.

What you'll do:

• Complete necessary maintenance, minor repairs and cleaning of units in a timely manner
• Check equipment for damage upon return
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, safety compliance, and ensure that equipment is in good working order
• Clean all equipment and maintain a clean work area
• Paint fleet equipment as directed
• Operate equipment in a safe manner
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Effective communication, multi-tasking and strong teamwork skills
• Diligent attention to safety
• Superior customer service skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Demonstrate proper usage of hand tools, including cordless drill, airhose/compressor, buffer, heat gun, propane torch, air tools, tile cutter, saws, auger, fork lift, etc.
• This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.
