Job summary

Ohio Peterbilt (a division of Ohio Machinery Co.) in Broadview Heights is seeking a Parts Specialist Counter to provide excellent customer service at the parts counter, process paperwork, and handle cash, checks and card transactions while greeting walk-in customers.

You will perform warehouse tasks such as receiving and shipping parts, counting stock, tracking warranty items, and maintaining safety and contamination control. A High School Diploma and 1+ year in warehouse/inventory are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of warehouse and inventory experience, some of which should be in a mechanical parts environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the parts counter and process all paperwork accurately.
• Receive parts calls, greet and assist walk-in customers, and handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Perform related warehouse duties including counting, receiving and shipping parts, receiving stock, and accounting for warranty items.
• Prioritize contamination control and safety in all tasks.

Job Summary

The Parts Specialist Counter will be responsible for excellent customer service. Extending optimal customer care and concern is a priority. This position will require completing tasks at the parts counter, including receiving parts calls, greeting and assisting walk-in customers, processing all paperwork accurately, and handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions. They will be expected to perform all related warehouse duties, including accurate counting, receiving and shipping of parts, receiving stock, accounting for warranty items, and building hoses. This person is expected to perform all necessary tasks related to contamination control and to prioritize safety strongly.

• This individual must be highly motivated.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must.
• Must be able to provide excellent customer service.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft applications.
• A strong attention to detail is required.

Job Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• You must have one or more years of warehouse and inventory experience, some of which should have been in a mechanical parts environment.
• Knowledge and experience with CAT heavy equipment and diesel engine parts are preferred.

Physical Requirements

Lifting/Carrying 40 lbs.; Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling; Standing/Sitting Up and downstairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines; Dexterity Normal; Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers; The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
