The Parts Specialist will provide high-quality service to retail and installer customers and support store management in various tasks.
Essential Job Functions
- Promote and follow all company customer service programs such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, and related selling initiatives.
- Greet customers promptly and assist them in selecting merchandise.
- Support managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers.
- Complete relevant company training.
- Provide excellent customer service over the phone, including answering calls, looking up parts, quoting prices, and promoting company guarantees.
- Maintain the cash drawer accurately, process transactions, and handle exchanges and returns per company policies.
- Address and resolve customer complaints professionally.
- Assist with store operations such as stocking, planogram updates, freight receival, and cleaning.
- Perform operational tasks like merchandise returns, stock adjustments, and inventory counts.
- Operate store equipment such as brake lathes after training.
- Perform in-store services (where legal), such as installing wipers, testing batteries, and scanning vehicle codes.
- Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle if required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
- Outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently handling multiple customers and phone calls.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
- ASE certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
