Job Description

The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position will also support store management in the accomplishment of assigned tasks.

Essential Job Functions

1. Follow and promote all company customer service programs, e.g., Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.
2. Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in their selection of merchandise.
3. Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed.
4. Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
5. Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering calls per company policy, accurately looking up parts and quoting prices, recommending related items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.
6. Maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept payments, make change, and process credit card transactions.
7. Process exchanges and returns in accordance with company policies.
8. Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
9. Assist with daily tasks such as freight receival, stocking shelves, and planogram updates.
10. Perform operational tasks like merchandise returns, stock adjustments, and inventory counts.
11. Operate store test equipment after training.
12. Perform in-store services (where lawful), e.g., install wipers, test batteries, scan vehicle trouble codes, replace headlight capsules.
13. Drive delivery vehicle as needed, subject to driving record approval.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Required:

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively.

Desired:

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, Weatherly index system, automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages, with Spanish highly desired.
