Job Description

The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position will also support store management in the accomplishment of assigned tasks.

Essential Job Functions

1. Follow and promote all company customer service programs, e.g., Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.
2. Greet retail/walk-in customers promptly in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in selecting merchandise.
3. Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed.
4. Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
5. Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering all calls according to company policy, accurately looking up parts, quoting prices, recommending related items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.
6. Maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash and checks, make accurate change, and process credit card transactions.
7. Process exchanges and returns in a friendly manner, adhering to company policies.
8. Address and resolve customer complaints amicably.
9. Assist with daily tasks such as freight receival, stocking shelves, planogram updates, cleaning, etc.
10. Perform operational tasks like merchandise returns, stock adjustments, inventory counts, etc.
11. Operate store test equipment after training.
12. Perform in-store services for customers where legal, e.g., wiper installation, battery testing, vehicle code scanning, headlight replacement, etc.
13. Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle if needed, subject to driving record approval.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education, and Experience

Required:

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively handling customers on the phone and in-store simultaneously.

Desired:

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, Weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
