Join to apply for the Parts Specialist role at O'Reilly Auto Parts.

The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position will support store management in accomplishing assigned tasks.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Follow and promote all company customer service programs, such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.
2. Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in selecting merchandise.
3. Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
4. Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
5. Provide excellent service to customers calling the store, answering calls per company policy, looking up parts, quoting prices, recommending related items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.
6. Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept payments, make change, and process credit card transactions.
7. Process exchanges and returns in a friendly manner, following company policies.
8. Address and resolve customer complaints amicably.
9. Assist with daily tasks such as updating planograms, freight receival, stocking shelves, cleaning, etc.
10. Perform operational tasks like merchandise returns, stock adjustments, and inventory counts.
11. Operate store equipment like brake lathe after training and meeting requirements.
12. Perform in-store services (where legal), such as installing wipers, testing batteries, scanning vehicle codes, replacing headlight capsules, etc.
13. Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle as needed, provided driving record meets requirements.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, Abilities:

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, handling phone and in-store customers simultaneously.

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, Weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
