MEPPI's Service Center Division (SCD) is seeking a Parts Specialist to lead the development, coordination, and execution of comprehensive spare parts programs across our divisions. This role combines technical expertise, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure optimal spare parts management throughout the product lifecycle. From hardware and software compatibility to end-of-life processes, you’ll play a pivotal role in keeping our operations and customer solutions seamless and efficient.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate Across Divisions: Partner with equipment divisions and OEM vendors to maintain comprehensive spare parts master lists, establish life cycle criteria, and recommend optimized spare parts kits.
  • Support Product Lifecycle Management: Work with divisions on product launches, last-time buys, and end-of-life schedules to establish and manage parts requirements.
  • Ensure Compatibility: Develop processes and documentation to guarantee seamless hardware and software compatibility for new and legacy products.
  • Review and Process ECNs: Handle parts-related engineering change notices (ECNs) to align with evolving product specifications.
  • Drive Spare Parts Programs: Assist in creating and maintaining robust spare parts programs, including refurbishment initiatives and remote response locations, to meet customer contract requirements.
  • Analyze Field Data: Correlate incident trends with potential parts requirements based on failure modes and equipment aging analysis.
  • Prepare Detailed Parts Lists: Create and manage customer-specific and general-purpose parts matrices, ensuring alignment with customer and product specifications.
  • Coordinate Packaging Specifications: Partner with engineers and divisions to develop packaging designs and communicate specifications to 3rd-party warehouse personnel.
  • Support Sales and Field Teams: Assist with materials for new equipment bids, replacement parts, and field refits, including warranty and quality recall efforts.
  • Enhance Division Goals: Collaborate with internal teams to further the Division's objectives and uphold a positive professional image.

What You Bring:

  • Education & Experience: Associate’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, plus a minimum of 5 years of parts management experience—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Intermediate knowledge of electromechanical equipment parts and the ability to read, understand, and create technical documentation.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges and innovate solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Proficiency: Intermediate skills in MS Office and familiarity with ERP and MRP systems.
  • Communication Skills: Solid interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with employees, vendors, and customers.

What’s in It for You?

  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: MEPPI pays 90% of medical, dental, and vision costs for you and your family.
  • Retirement Plans: Benefit from a 401(k) plan with up to 4% company match to secure your financial future.
  • Generous PTO: Enjoy vacation time after just 90 days, plus 12 paid holidays per year.
  • Career Development: Access training programs and educational assistance to grow your career.
  • Exclusive Discounts: Leverage employee discounts on products and services.
