Job summary

Astec is seeking a detail-oriented Parts Coordinator to determine customer parts requirements, prepare quotes, and place orders within internal systems. You will collaborate with engineering, service, controls, sales, shipping and manufacturing to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities include researching parts using drawings and manuals, preparing quotes, tracking quotes and orders, and assisting dealers and direct customers. Travel to call on customers and trade shows may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or marketing strongly desired.
• Must be able to speak and write in English fluently with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• 0-2 years of work experience in similar environment.
• Some experience in mechanical or machinery related industry preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, problem solving, and ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency with general office equipment and Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to Astec direct customers and dealers.
• Locate the correct parts and prepare the parts quotations as per the customer’s request.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure that the customer’s requests are met.
• Accurately process all parts sales orders.
• Follow up on quotes and orders with customers.
• Travel 1-3 times per year to call on direct customers and dealers; plant visits and trade shows.
