Job summary

North Central Utility, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Shipping and Receiving associate to perform all warehouse duties, verify orders, process receipts, and maintain accurate inventory levels. This full-time role involves working with the parts team to ensure timely processing and delivery of items.

Based in Wisconsin, you will contribute to a fast-paced environment, engage with customers, and support returns and repairs while adhering to safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and handle physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Handle all shipping and receiving duties.
• Receive incoming orders and verify items and counts.
• Document any shipment damage and update inventory in the system.
• Process orders for outgoing shipments and prepare shipping documents.
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
• Process product returns to vendors as scheduled.
• Maintain core inventory and document location changes in the system.
• Assist with answering phones and helping counter customers as needed.
• Support with daily deliveries and loading/unloading as required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• All shipping and receiving duties
• Receive incoming orders, verifying correct items and counts, verifying and/or documenting any shipment damage
• Put away parts and enter receipts into our operating system. Assuring all items are labeled and put in correct bin location, and/or updating bin location changes in our operating system
• Pull outgoing orders from our shelves and process parts invoices for the outgoing orders. Process product for shipment, including shipping documentation.
• Keep warehouse clean and organized.
• Process product returns to vendors daily and/or as scheduled
• Maintain our core inventory and process core returns as scheduled
• Post received items into our computer inventory system, noting any location changes, damage, quantity variations, etc.
• Perform perpetual inventory counts
• Accurate and timely completion of paperwork
• Assist answering phone calls and counter customers as needed
• Report needed forklift maintenance to the Parts Manager
• Load & unload vehicles as needed
• Ensure parts are pulled and ready for daily deliveries on schedule
• Assist with parts deliveries as needed
• Build relationships with customers as needed
• Assist back & front counter sales reps as needed
• Assist with EOY Inventory process
• Assist Manager Parts Team as needed
• Other Tasks as Assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), technology, and computer proficiency
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
• Ability to repetitively push/pull and/or lift/carry at least 50 pounds
• Prior Forklift certification is beneficial; otherwise, NCU will provide forklift certification

Our parts department has an extensive inventory of Heavy-Duty Truck/Tractor and Trailer parts. Our broad product line and geographic coverage ensure we are a “One Stop Shop” for truck and semi-trailer parts.

Our service department offers everything from routine maintenance, certified DOT inspections, to precision laser alignment, as well as complete wreck repair for trailers of all makes and models. With the addition of Cargobull reefer units to the Utility portfolio, NCU is expanding our Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) and mobile service capabilities. No job is too big or too small for our skilled service technicians.
