Job summary

North Central Utility (NCU) is seeking a self-motivated Parts Shipping and Receiving specialist to join our DeForest, Wisconsin team. This full-time role focuses on accurate receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment within our heavy-duty truck and trailer parts operation.

You will work with a small team, handling shipments, updating the inventory system, assisting customers and colleagues, and supporting the Parts Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• All shipping and receiving duties.
• Receive incoming orders, verify items and counts, and document damage as needed.
• Enter receipts into the inventory system and update bin locations.
• Pull outgoing orders and process invoices for shipment.
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
• Assist with daily deliveries and back/front counter duties.
• Perform perpetual inventory counts and report maintenance needs.

North Central Utility (NCU) is looking for a self-motivated and results-driven Parts Shipping and Receiving personnel to represent NCU in the heavy-duty truck & trailer parts industry.

North Central Utility is one of the largest semi-trailer dealerships in the nation and the largest in the North Central region with 10 locations throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota. We offer reefer, dry van and flatbed trailers from Utility Trailer Manufacturing at all locations and vocational trailers from MAC Trailers in Wisconsin - we sell new and used semi-trailers. With Moore Space, we offer temporary storage container solutions as well. Our parts department has an extensive inventory in Heavy-Duty Truck/Tractor and Trailer parts. Our broad product line and geographic coverage ensures we are a “One Stop Shop” for truck and semi-trailer parts. Our service department offers everything from routine maintenance, certified DOT inspections to precision laser alignment, as well as complete wreck repair for trailers of all makes and models. No job is too big or too small for our skilled service technicians.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• All shipping and receiving duties
• Receive incoming orders, verifying correct items and counts, verifying and/or documenting any shipment damage
• Put away parts and enter receipts into our operating system. Assuring all items are labeled and put in correct bin location, and/or updating bin location changes in our operating system
• Pull outgoing orders from our shelves and process parts invoices for the outgoing orders. Process product for shipment, including shipping documentation.
• Keep warehouse clean and organized.
• Process product returns to vendors daily and/or as scheduled
• Maintain our core inventory and process core returns as scheduled
• Post received items into our computer inventory system, noting any location changes, damage, quantity variations, etc.
• Perform perpetual inventory counts
• Accurate and timely completion of paperwork
• Assist answering phone calls and counter customers as needed
• Report needed forklift maintenance to the Parts Manager
• Load & unload vehicles as needed
• Ensure parts are pulled and ready for daily deliveries on schedule
• Assist with parts deliveries as needed
• Build relationships with customers as needed
• Assist back & front counter sales reps as needed
• Assist with EOY Inventory process
• Assist Manager Parts Team as needed
• Other Tasks as Assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), technology, and computer proficiency
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including but not limited to the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, reach overhead, stoop, and squat repetitively for long periods of time
• Ability to repetitively push/pull and/or lift/carry at least 50 pounds

Driving Requirements:

• Driving is a duty of this position
• Driver’s License required
• Forklift operation is a duty of this position
• Prior Forklift certification is beneficial; otherwise, NCU will provide forklift certification
