Job summary

North Central Utility, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Front Counter Sales Representative to join our team in Wisconsin. The role involves assisting walk-in customers, educating them on NCU parts and services, processing orders, and supporting delivery and route operations.

Strong computer skills and a valid driver’s license are preferred for success in this fast-paced, customer-facing position. The position offers a full-time schedule on day shift with opportunities for commissions,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in automotive, heavy-duty truck/trailer parts preferred.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), technology, and computer proficiency.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Represent NCU to all walk-in store customers
• Educate the retail customer on NCU parts and services
• Assist with delivery and route operation
• Answer phone
• Order processing
• Assist with parts stocking and store organization
• Order parts and fill back orders
• Work with management to eliminate excess inventory and increase turns
• Assist ensuring that parts are pulled and ready for daily deliveries
• Accurate and timely processing and completion of paperwork
• Load & unload vehicles as needed
• Increase sales volume through promotional sales & activity
• Suggest items of value to build customer loyalty and identify opportunities for incremental sales volume as needed
• Build relationships with customers
• Assist in flyer creation
• Assist back counter parts sales reps
• Assist in warehouse
• Sell product features
• Assist with EOY Inventory
• Assist Manager as needed
• Other Tasks as Assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 1+ year experience in automotive, heavy-duty truck/trailer parts preferred

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
• Driver's License and must be in good standing

This position is a safety-sensitive position, requiring pre-employment and post-accident drug testing. North Central Utility is one of the largest semi-trailer dealerships in the nation and the largest in the North Central region with 10 locations throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota. We are a family-owned and operated company with 2 nd and 3 rd generations taking the reins of leadership. NCU offers reefers, dry vans, and flatbed trailers from Utility Trailer Manufacturing at all locations and vocational trailers from MAC Trailers in Wisconsin - we sell new and used semi-trailers. With Moore Space, we offer temporary storage container solutions as well. Our parts department has an extensive inventory of Heavy-Duty Truck/Tractor and Trailer parts. Our broad product line and geographic coverage ensure we are a “One Stop Shop” for truck and semi-trailer parts. Our service department offers everything from routine maintenance, certified DOT inspections, to precision laser alignment, as well as complete wreck repair for trailers of all makes and models. With the addition of Cargobull reefer units to the Utility portfolio, NCU is expanding our Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) and mobile service capabilities. No job is too big or too small for our skilled service technicians.
