Job summary

Winchester Equipment Co. in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced Parts and Service Manager to lead our Bobcat construction equipment dealership's parts and service operations.

You will build a high-performing team, ensure timely repairs, maintain parts availability, and deliver exceptional customer experiences while supporting branch goals. This role requires leadership, strong communication, and a hands-on approach to workflow, inventory, and profitability.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of leadership in equipment/service environments.
• Working knowledge of parts, service, repair processes, work orders, warranties, and inventory.
• Strong leadership to coach employees, set priorities, and hold a team accountable.
• Excellent customer service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Proficiency with dealership management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree preferred.
• Bobcat or compact construction equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, schedule, and develop parts and service team members.
• Oversee daily department workflow, work orders, repair scheduling, parts availability, and customer communication.
• Set performance expectations and monitor productivity, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Drive parts and service sales by identifying customer needs, following up on opportunities, and building lasting relationships.
• Review estimates, repair orders, warranty claims, invoices, and departmental reports for accuracy and timely completion.
• Maintain appropriate parts inventory levels while improving turns, fill rates, and obsolete inventory management.
• Ensure technicians have tools, parts, information, and training needed to complete work safely and efficiently.
• Partner with sales, rental, and branch leadership to support equipment deliveries, customer commitments, and dealership goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment in accordance with company and manufacturer standards.
• Manage department expenses, staffing, and operating results to achieve revenue and profitability objectives.
• Support Bobcat programs, product updates, warranty requirements, and service initiatives.
