Job summary

Cash Construction, a division of MasTec, is hiring for a vehicle fleet technician/driver in Texas. You will inspect and maintain company vehicles, manage daily logs, and support field technicians with repairs.

Expect to help keep the equipment yard organized, assist with fuel and supply tracking, and ensure safety and compliance through diligent, hands-on work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• A desire to learn and grow.
• Experience in fueling equipment and conducting preventative maintenance services on heavy construction equipment and trucks.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Safely drive and operate company vehicles and equipment.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate driver’s license prior to employment.
• Physical exertion required, including but not limited to lifting and carrying heavy items up to 80 pounds or more, climb and access heavy equipment, stooping, walking and bending.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for issued company vehicles.
• Daily inspections of vehicle’s tires, lights, fluids and onboard company equipment and tooling. The vehicle is to be always kept in a clean and safe operating condition.
• Maintaining daily log of all the locations visited. All DOT driver’s logs are to be maintained and turned in if the driver operates a commercial rated vehicle.
• Responsible for keeping track of all POs and Invoices, for his/her deliveries; to be turned in daily.
• Maintaining equipment yard and shop areas.
• Wash equipment and assist technicians with repairs to various types of heavy construction equipment and trucks.
