Tyson Foods in Waterloo, IA seeks a hands-on Parts Clerk to maintain inventory in the parts room, analyze usage, and support maintenance teams with parts and tools. The role requires accurate data entry, knowledge of stores systems, and the ability to work with various maintenance staff.

The position involves lifting up to 100 pounds, standing for long periods, and shift work on a night A shift. Candidates should be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced plant

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with maintenance, technical, computer and customer service is a plus.
• Computer skills include data entry and receiving purchase orders; proficient in Windows-based software.

• Unload supply trucks, prioritizing daily work with minimum supervision and other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Extra consideration given to applicants with maintenance, technical, computer and customer service experience; experience working with parts and tools a plus.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills. Must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management, as well as government officials. Must be able to read, understand and execute and documents, and daily documentation
• Computer Skills: Knowledge of a computerized Stores System that includes data entry and receiving purchase orders; competent in Windows-based software, such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Other Skills: Knowledge, skills, and abilities to do intermediate math and accounting; perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy; ability to prioritize and multi-task; work without supervision; be detail oriented; have good attendance; ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of management and operations/maintenance.

Position Involves

• Ability to work in both cold and hot environments.
• Ability to walk, bend, squat, sit, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
• This job requires ability to lift 100 pounds and may require reaching above shoulder height with lift.

SHIFT

8:15pm - 8:30am (4 days) rotates front to back half of the week

This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility and displaced team members. Priority consideration will be provided to these applicants first. If local Team Members are not selected, external candidates will then be reviewed for consideration.
