Job summary

Qualifications

  • Associate or higher in a systems-related field; Bachelor's preferred.

  • Working knowledge: SQL, Power BI, Palantir, MS Access, Visual Basic, SAP BO, SAP BW.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work with diverse users and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Create custom reports for Parts Organization using data definitions and data sources.
  • Extract data and develop analytics from large sources using SQL, Excel, Power BI, Palantir, SAP BW.
  • Analyze data tables to ensure accurate information retrieval and optimize reporting.
  • Improve reporting performance by validating data and ensuring reliability.
  • Collaborate with Parts Organization units to ensure accurate data delivery.
  • Develop and update dashboards tracking key metrics for Parts performance.

Job Overview

Provides the resource to collaborate with all members of the Parts Organization to complete data requests, develop metrics tracking tools and fulfill reporting requirements. Uses proven knowledge of specialized reporting tools to extract data and translate information to be delivered via reports and analytics. Delivers timely results with clear defintions to all users. Develop one time and on-going data applications to improve end user knowledge base. Recommends and develops improvement opportunities that allow users better data performance, visibility and understanding.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Use analytical quantitative, and problem solving skills to create customized reports to handle specific reporting needs of the Parts Organization, providing business intelligence based on knowledge of data definitions, availability and accessibility during key improvement projects.
  • Extract required data to develop requested reports and analytics from large data sources using various applications such as SQL Management Studio, Excel, Power BI, Palantir, Power Pivot, and SAP BW.
  • Analyze tables to establish knowledge of the data for accurate information retrieval; to optimize and improve the performance of reporting processes.
  • Optimize slow moving data sources for improved reporting response times by conducting data validation procedures and methodologies to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with units in the Parts Organization to ensure that data is generated accurately and meets departmental requirements.
  • Develop & update data dashboards that provide Parts Organization tracking of key performance metrics via graphical display.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Associate degree or higher in systems related discipline. Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in systems related job including database development, data extraction, programming or similar. Demonstrates analytical and problem solving ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve problems
  • Working knowledge of various programming languages or disciplines including SQL, Power BI, Palantir, MS Access, Visual Basic, SAP Business Objects, SAP Business Warehouse
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Products including Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Project, etc)
  • Ability to work well with diverse user and knowledge base
  • Ability to work well under pressure. Work multiple projects at one time and evaluate/prioritize as necessary
  • Regular attendance
  • Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 1-10 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
