Job summary

Peterbilt of Atlanta, LLC in Gadsden, AL seeks an Outside Parts Sales representative to build customer relationships and drive parts sales. You will visit customers, identify new business opportunities, and serve as a liaison for the dealership’s public image and parts operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors, and other contacts.
• Professional personal appearance and dress.
• Knowledge of truck parts.
• Will be trained on dealership’s parts inventory system.
• Must be able to judge when emergency purchases are and are not justified and to coordinate orders with parts advisors.
• You must possess a valid driver’s license and have a driving record that meets our criteria.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a DOT Driver Medical certification.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned customers.
• Prospect for new customers.
• Act as a public relations liaison for the dealership.
• Follow up on parts orders to ensure that customers have been served properly.
• Communicate parts orders to parts advisors and advise on stock or emergency status.
• Advise on delivery instructions; same-day requests by 8 am.
• Verify delivery dates for non-stock items with customers.
• Turn in call reports along with time sheets.
• Coordinate service sales with service salespeople.
• Attend training seminars when possible.
• Advise Outside Sales Manager of changes in customers’ names, addresses, etc.
