Job summary

Pearson Peterbilt Group in Alabama is seeking an Outside Parts Sales representative to visit assigned customers, prospect for new business, and serve as a public relations liaison for the dealership. You will follow up on parts orders to ensure customers are served properly and coordinate with parts advisors on delivery timelines.

A high school diploma, valid driver's license, and a DOT medical certification are required; ongoing training is provided to grow your skills and advance your career

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; able to read and comprehend instructions.
• Able to communicate well orally and in writing with customers and vendors.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; DOT Medical certification required.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned customers
• Prospect for new customers
• Act as a public relations liaison for the dealership
• Follow up on parts orders to ensure customers have been served properly
• Communicate parts orders to parts advisors; advise stock vs. emergency status
• Verify delivery dates for non-stock items with customers before ordering
• Turn in call reports and time sheets
• Coordinate service sales with service salespeople
• Attend training seminars when possible
• Advise Outside Sales Manager of changes in customer details
