Job summary

Collision Service Center in Schaumburg, IL seeks an experienced Parts Manager to oversee parts procurement, inventory control, and production support in a fast-paced collision repair facility.

You will coordinate with vendors, verify parts for repair jobs, and ensure technicians have the right parts at the right time to maintain workflow and cycle times. Strong organizational skills and knowledge of auto parts are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in collision repair environment preferred.
• Knowledge of automotive body parts, OEM procedures and aftermarket sourcing.
• Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
• Experience using estimating and shop management software.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with computers and basic office software.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Order, receive, verify, and manage parts for all collision repair jobs.
• Review repair estimates to ensure parts are identified and ordered accurately.
• Coordinate with vendors to secure timely delivery of parts.
• Inspect incoming parts for accuracy, quality, and damage.
• Label, organize, and stage parts for assigned repair vehicles.
• Monitor and maintain parts inventory, returns, credits, and core charges.
• Track backordered parts and communicate delays to staff and management.
• Support workflow with estimators, technicians, and production managers.
• Maintain records of parts purchases, invoices, and transactions.
