Job summary

Linder Industrial Machinery Company in Chester, VA seeks a Parts Department Manager to coordinate internal and external parts sales, transfers, inventory control, warehousing, shipping, receiving, and administrative tasks.

You will guide staff, optimize processes, align with corporate KPIs, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure safety compliance while meeting service objectives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 3-5 years related experience
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficient computer skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• General knowledge of maintenance repair, parts department, sales, equipment ownership
• Equipment parts experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates activities of Parts Department staff – to include internal and external parts sales, transfers, inventory control, warehousing, shipping, and receiving, order processing and administrative functions.
• Recommends and implements measures to enhance customer service and elevate performance of Parts Department
• Develops and maintains good working relationships with both internal and external customers, utilizes conflict resolution and problem-solving skills to resolve issues
• Maintains and reviews parts business practices and procedures, ensuring effective communication and flow within parts department
• Interacts with Inventory Control Manager to ensure proper parts sales coverage and inventory levels
• Promotes Parts revenue by ensuring local Parts activities focus on Corporate initiatives and market programs
• Routinely analyzes business flow and adjusts employee schedules to meet the business needs as required
• Reviews Parts Department KPI and makes necessary adjustments to improve metrics
• Ensures Parts Department staff is adequately trained
• Promotes and adheres to all Safety regulations and policies
• Performs annual employee reviews
• Other duties as requested by management
