Job summary

Kelley Automotive Group in Decatur, IN, is seeking a Parts Warehouse Associate to verify incoming and outgoing shipments, process Special-Order Parts, and stock inventory in proper locations. You will unload delivery trucks with a forklift, create new locations for new inventory, prepare returns for shipping, and ensure accuracy against packing slips.

This is a physically demanding on-site role with exposure to heat, noise, and dust.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic mathematical and reasoning skills required.
  • Able to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • One year of experience in an automotive parts department preferred.
  • Employee must be able to lift/move 25 lbs. consistently and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Must pass certification to operate forklift.

Responsibilities

  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.
  • Process all incoming Special-Order Parts.
  • Stock all parts in proper locations daily.
  • Unload delivery trucks with the forklift as needed.
  • Prepare all returns for shipping.
  • Return customer Pay Cores and warranty Cores weekly as applicable.
  • Create new locations for new inventory daily.
  • Field scraps warranty parts as per guidelines.
  • Sweep receiving area weekly.
  • Follow management’s directions and perform other tasks as needed.
