Job summary

The Kenan Advantage Group is seeking a Parts Inventory Associate to maintain a proper inventory of parts for our shop and fleet. You will order stock, track supplies, and ensure accurate pricing and invoicing for parts.

This onsite role requires knowledge of class 8 tractors and trailers, ability to read technical data, and proficiency with Word and Excel. You will coordinate with vendors and assist in yard maintenance.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret technical data and information.

Responsibilities

• Order stock and non stock parts needed to repair tractors and trailers.
• Keep accurate inventory of parts and supplies for shop and tank wash.
• Controls inventory needed for forecasted needs.
• Check in part orders, tag, and stock parts.
• Send and receive shipments, unload semi deliveries, route and process office paperwork.
• Order replacement parts and new install kits.
• Purchase, stock, and perform daily tire inventory.
• Keep SDS information current and accurate to match on hand products.
• Assist in transporting equipment to vendors for repair.
• Negotiate pricing with outside vendors.
• Monitors and processes warranty recoverable.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining a proper inventory of parts.

Essential Functions

• Order stock and non stock parts that are needed to repair tractors and trailers
• Keep accurate inventory of parts and supplies for shop and tank wash
• Controls inventory needed for forecasted needs
• Check in part orders, tag, and stock parts
• Send and receive shipments, unload semi deliveries, route and process office paper work
• Order replacement parts and new install kits
• Purchase, stock, and perform daily tire inventory
• Keep on hand The Federal Highway Association (FHWA) inspection forms, decals, tank test decals, tank test date numbers.
• Assists lead tech with review and completion of standard and vendor repair orders (stand in if lead tech is off)
• Order and bill for parts to vendor repair facilities
• Ensure accurate pricing and invoicing of orders
• Keep SDS information current and accurate to match on hand products
• Assist in transporting equipment to vendors for repair
• Assists in building and yard maintenance by either performing needed repairs or coordinates outside vendors
• Negotiates pricing with outside vendors
• Monitors and processes warranty recoverable
