Job summary

Grede is seeking a detail‑oriented inventory specialist to support purchasing, maintenance parts, and warehouse operations. You will prepare, enter, and ship orders, and serve as the primary vendor contact for pricing, availability, and services.

Strong CMMS or inventory system experience is essential. In this role you will review overdue orders, correct errors, maintain the parts room, conduct regular audits, and train staff on the inventory system.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or inventory management databases.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, enter, and deliver purchase orders, work orders, and shipping requests for parts and supplies.
• Primary vendor contact for information, pricing, availability, and vendor services.
• Review and resolve past-due purchase orders, incorrect shipments, pricing errors, and other inventory-related issues.
• File open and closed purchase and work orders.
• Enter information into and instruct maintenance staff in the repair parts inventory system.
• Administer and maintain inventory of all parts and tools.
• Remove obsolete supplies and prepare documentation to reconcile the ledger.
• Review and process purchase orders and invoices from suppliers.
• Perform audits and physical counts of inventory as directed by management.
• Interface with maintenance scheduler on parts requirements or supplier issues.
• Suggest improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
