Job summary

MTM Transit in Austin is seeking a Parts Clerk to manage all parts purchasing, shipping, receiving and stocking for the fleet. You will handle warranty parts and assist with purchase orders and invoicing in coordination with the accounting team.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of related experience, and valid driving credentials including Texas license. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience, Education & Certifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be 21 years or older
• US work authorization
• Valid US driver’s license for 3 years
• Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain within 3 months
• No DWI/DUI in past 10 years
• No more than 1 suspension/moving violation in last 3 years (2 in 5 years)
• DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
• Criminal background check
• Minimum 1 year experience in related position
• ADA/DOT/FTA regulations knowledge preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of safety/training procedures
• Good organizational skills with timeliness/details
• Flexible hours as required
• High level of confidentiality
• Regular attendance required

Responsibilities

• Manage all parts purchasing including shipping, receiving and stocking
• Handle warranty part ordering/returns
• Process purchase orders and invoices with corporate accounting
• Identify discrepancies in master log and correct variances
• Assist in maintenance policy implementation and training
• Perform additional duties as assigned
