Job summary

Oerlikon is hiring a Production Parts Inspector 1 for the Agawam facility on the 1st shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM). You will work with customers to translate their needs into workable specifications for teammates, inspect products at various stages, and participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure quality and accuracy in processing, packaging and shipping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with MS Word and Internet Explorer.
• Knowledge of industrial cutting tools preferred, but not required.
• Strong work ethic, high energy, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers and co-workers in a ‘customer-friendly’ manner.
• Receive and inspect customer product for processing.
• Inspect finished product.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Learn new skills and cross-train into various department.
• Act as member of the monthly ‘Quality Council’.
• Open to cross-trained/other areas of production.
