Job summary

W.W. Williams in West Columbia, SC seeks an Inside Sales, Parts representative who will service customers in person or by phone, selling products and services to meet current and future needs.

You will match customer needs with offerings, provide quotes, process orders, manage inventory and invoicing, and estimate delivery times based on stock and schedules. The role requires a high school diploma (GED) and 1–3 years of related sales experience, with strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years of related sales experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with the customer, either by phone or in person, to identify needs.
• Matches customer needs with products and services and proposes solutions to maximize satisfaction and sales opportunities.
• Identifies sales opportunities beyond current needs and informs customers of benefits to proceed with the sale.
• Uses product knowledge, various software programs, and supplier catalogs to identify exact parts, price, and availability.
• Quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares orders for sales obtained.
• Enters products sold into the system for inventory and customer invoicing.
• Recovers freight costs by following current policy.
• Processes customer payments while observing credit policies.
• Overcomes objections of prospective customers.
• Estimates delivery date based on inventory and delivery schedules.
