Job summary

Jordan Sitter Associates seeks an Import/Export Logistics Specialist to own trade compliance for the parts business of a heavy equipment manufacturer and dealer network in Newnan, GA.

You will manage HTS/ECCN classification, file ISF/ACE, and supervise bonded shipments while building a modern recordkeeping system and supporting regulatory audits.

This role requires 5+ years in trade compliance, strong Excel skills, and a focus on accuracy and timely filings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in international trade compliance, customs, or logistics.
• Strong HTS and ECCN knowledge and classification review.
• Proficient Excel; Smartsheet experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own HTS and ECCN classification accuracy across the parts catalog.
• Prepare and file time-sensitive import/export documentation and manage bonded shipment activity.
• Track and resolve shipment discrepancies with procurement.
• Build relationships with international freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Lead the buildout of a modern document retention and recordkeeping system.
• Serve as the go-to resource during compliance and regulatory audits.
• Clear classification backlog and keep codes accurate as products/regulations change.
• File ISF, ACE, and bonded shipment documentation on time, ahead of audits.
• Track on-time filing rate, backlog reduction, audits, and performance metrics.
