Job summary

Bruckner Truck & Equipment is seeking a Parts Department team member to fill orders over the phone or at the counter and advise customers on needed parts. The role requires forklift operation and the ability to handle multiple tasks quickly to keep the parts department running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in heavy-duty truck or automotive parts, strong customer service skills, and the endurance to work at a fast pace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in heavy duty truck or automotive parts department experience.
• Ability to interact successfully with customers and co-workers; urgency when helping customers.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer calls and fill orders from stock.
• Assist customers at parts counter and shop counter.
• Read catalogs or computer for replacement part numbers, availability, price, and substitutions.
• Advise on substitutions or modifications when replacement is not available.
• Advise customers of quality improvements or service bulletins on part replacement.
• Examine returned parts to determine defect and exchange or refund.
• Stock parts according to part number sequence.
• Use precision measuring tools to determine if parts can be machined or built up to size.
• Maintain clean parts shelves and perform inventory checks.
• Process payments and handle transactions.
