Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles and deliver parts and products to customers, including COD deliveries and customer returns. You will use fleet devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, log mileage, and perform daily vehicle inspections.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to adapt to changing delivery situations, and a valid state driver’s license with a compliant driving record.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and complete daily inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and secured; inspects and locks at end of day.
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slip.
• Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs or accidents to store management.
• May assist customers as a cashier or help with merchandising when business dictates.
