Job summary

Leman Automotive Group is seeking a Full-Time Parts Counterperson in Peoria, IL to assist technicians, departments, and customers with auto parts needs. You will locate, identify, and process parts orders while ensuring accuracy and fast service.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and preferred prior automotive parts/dealership experience, plus strong communication and organizational skills. Training and advancement opportunities are available within our 13 dealerships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous Automotive Parts Or Dealership Experience Preferred.
• Basic automotive knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians, internal departments, and retail customers with automotive parts needs.
• Look up, identify, and locate the correct parts for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Process parts orders, sales, returns, and special requests accurately.
• Work closely with the Parts Manager to locate and order parts that are not in stock.
• Monitor special orders and communicate updates on parts availability and delivery.
• Maintain an organized and efficient parts department.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service in person and over the phone.
• Collaborate with service technicians and other dealership departments to ensure timely repairs.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent customer service. Previous automotive parts experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate!
