Job summary

Preston Auto Group is seeking a reliable Parts Counterperson to purchase, sell, store, and issue parts within our busy dealership. One year of dealership warehouse experience is desired, along with strong people skills and physical stamina.

You will be ordering parts, managing inventory, processing invoices, and ensuring excellent service for customers and staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of dealership warehouse experience and/or training.
• Strong people skills for working with customers and internal staff.
• Ability to regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift/move more than 100 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Determine needs and accurately specify parts accordingly
• Create and modify purchase orders
• Issue purchase orders to the appropriate vendor
• Record warranty parts returned
• Create special-ordered parts in the dealership computer system and notify the ASM, technician, or client upon receipt
• Review special order parts tracking
• Process and close open invoices
• Compare invoices against requisitions to verify quality and quantity of merchandise received
• Keep records of outside purchases and parts received and issued
• Perform ongoing warehouse parts inventory
• Attend weekly department meetings

Preston Auto Group is looking for a reliable, professional Parts Counterperson to purchase, sell, store, and issue parts within our busy dealership. As a PartsCounterperson, you'll be the backbone of our parts operation — ordering parts, managing inventory, and processing invoices, all while delivering the excellent service our customers and internal staff expect. This role calls for someone detail-oriented on the back end and personable on the front end.

Responsibilities
