Job summary

Preston Auto Group is seeking a reliable Parts Counterperson to purchase, sell, store, and issue parts within our busy dealership. A candidate with one year of dealership warehouse experience can expect great pay, benefits, and a supportive team environment.

The role includes ordering parts, managing inventory, processing invoices, and providing excellent service to customers and staff. Training and growth opportunities are available in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Strong people skills for working with customers and internal staff.
• Detail-oriented on the back end and personable on the front end.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and more than 100 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Determine needs and accurately specify parts.
• Create and modify purchase orders.
• Issue purchase orders to vendors.
• Record warranty parts returned.
• Create special-ordered parts in the dealership computer system and notify relevant staff on receipt.
• Review special order parts tracking.
• Process and close invoices.
• Compare invoices to requisitions for quality and quantity.
• Keep records of outside purchases and parts issued.
• Perform ongoing warehouse parts inventory.
• Attend weekly department meetings.
