Preston Auto Group is seeking a reliable Parts Counterperson to purchase, sell, store, and issue parts within our busy dealership. A candidate with one year of dealership warehouse experience can expect great pay, benefits, and a supportive team environment.

The role includes ordering parts, managing inventory, processing invoices, and providing excellent service to customers and staff. Training and growth opportunities are available in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Determine needs and accurately specify parts.

• Create special-ordered parts in the dealership computer system and notify relevant staff on receipt.
• Review special order parts tracking.
• Process and close invoices.

• Perform ongoing warehouse parts inventory.
• Attend weekly department meetings.

Parts Counterperson

Preston Auto Group is looking for a reliable, professional Parts Counterperson to purchase, sell, store, and issue parts within our busy dealership. As a PartsCounterperson, you'll be the backbone of our parts operation — ordering parts, managing inventory, and processing invoices, all while delivering the excellent service our customers and internal staff expect. This role calls for someone detail-oriented on the back end and personable on the front end.

Responsibilities

• Determine needs and accurately specify parts accordingly
• Create and modify purchase orders
• Issue purchase orders to the appropriate vendor
• Record warranty parts returned
• Create special-ordered parts in the dealership computer system and notify the ASM, technician, or client upon receipt
• Review special order parts tracking
• Process and close open invoices
• Compare invoices against requisitions to verify quality and quantity of merchandise received
• Keep records of outside purchases and parts received and issued
• Perform ongoing warehouse parts inventory
• Attend weekly department meetings

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One year of dealership warehouse experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong people skills for working with customers and internal staff
• Ability to regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift/move more than 100 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
• Close vision and ability to adjust focus
