Job summary

MetroWest Subaru seeks two parts advisors to join our growing team. No experience is necessary—just a great attitude and work ethic; we will train you. We offer extensive benefits and a supportive environment where happy employees translate to happy customers.

You will handle parts sales, work with customers, and maintain stock while adhering to safety guidelines. Training is provided, and opportunities for growth exist within the dealership.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Eager to learn in a dynamic retail environment.
• Strong interpersonal and time-management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Read and interpret the parts catalog for accurate parts lookup.
• Provide price quotes and information to customers by phone or in person.
• Pull and fill orders from stock and maintain weekly stock checks.
• Notify manager of out-of-stock parts and source from outside vendors when needed.
• Ensure all internal requests are billed on service repair orders.
• Handle payments from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Converse effectively/efficiently regarding customer parts status.
• Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up and speaking to specific parts.
• Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information to customers.
• Review body shop estimates to verify the parts ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
• Provide high level service to both internal and external customers.
• Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from an outside source and submit an emergency order, if necessary.
• Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.
