Job summary

J O Williams Motors, Inc. is seeking a Parts Counter Person to support customer service and retail sales in our auto parts store. The ideal candidate will have previous Parts experience, especially at a Ford dealership, and strong knowledge of automobiles.

You will oversee the parts sales process, locate parts not in stock, process special orders, and communicate with customers, advisors, and technicians. This role requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and a positive,

Responsibilities

• Work with parts manager to locate parts not in stock.
• Complete special order part requests for customers or technicians.

• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Check-in new inventory each morning.
• Distribute parts and supplies to technicians.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry.

The Parts Counter Person is responsible for customer service and retail sales at an auto parts store. In this position, your responsibilities include selling parts and taking inventory of stock in storage and, if necessary, on shelves. Previous experience in Automotive Parts is required, OEM preferred.

Parts Counter Person Responsibilities:

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish

• Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock

• Complete special order part request for the customer or technician

Parts Counter Person Requirements:

• Previous Parts experience absolutely required, certifications at a Ford dealership is a plus

• Ability to identify the problem quickly

• Knowledge of automobiles

• Effective analytical and communication skills

• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills

• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications

• Minimum of 3 year in service department

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Basic computer skills

• Positive, friendly attitude

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience with Ford parts sales (preferred)
