Job summary

Bryan Ford, Inc. is seeking a Parts Counter Person to handle customer service and retail sales at our auto parts counter in Bryan, OH. You will sell parts, assist customers, and help manage stock and orders with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Previous Ford dealership experience is a plus. The role requires a strong knowledge of automobiles, good math and computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Basic automobile knowledge is required.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities are essential.
• Must be able to read, compute, and manage transactions accurately.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with auto parts sales is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a service department is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Work with the parts manager to locate parts not in stock.
• Process special order part requests for customers.
• Communicate with customers on parts status.
• Maintain a friendly and professional rapport with staff and customers.
• Follow all safety policies and industry regulations.

Parts Counter Person Responsibilities:

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
• Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock
• Complete special order part request for the customer
• Communicate with customer on parts status
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry

Parts Counter Person Requirements:

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
