Job summary

Team Wieland Truck & Trailer in Michigan is seeking a Parts Counter/Customer Service associate to support mechanics and customers with truck parts. You will reference catalogs and manuals to identify correct parts by make, model, and year, pick items from the warehouse, and issue them at the parts counter.

The role requires strong customer service, basic Windows 10 and Excel skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs (and up to 100 lbs occasionally).

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Ability to locate items from the warehouse and issue parts to mechanics and customers from the parts counter.
• Must be able to locate availability of parts if the dealer is out of stock.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and Excel is required.
• Experience with ADP Dealer Management system and OEM catalog programs is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the parts counter.
• Refer to electronic parts catalogs and manuals to identify the correct parts for the truck make, model, and year.
• Locate items from the warehouse and issue parts to mechanics and customers.
• Check part availability when stock is low or out of stock.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Must consistently provide excellent customer service experience.
• Refer to electronic parts catalogs and parts manuals to identify the correct truck parts forspecific make, model and year of truck.
• Ability to locate the items from the warehouse and issue the parts and accessories to mechanicsand to customers from the parts counter.
• Must be able to locate availability of the parts if the dealer is out of stock.
• Cleanliness must be maintained in the work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Organizational skills and follow through.
• Required to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally assist in lifting or moving up to 100 lbs. using upper body strength and mechanical lifting equipment.
• Required to spend long hours sitting or standing.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with customers, co-workers, and general public.
• Must be self-motivated, hardworking, and dependable person.
• Must possess the ability to be adaptable and willing to perform assignments beyond normal duties when asked.

• Fork Truck License preferred.
• Computer skills using ADP Dealer Management system and various OEM inventory catalogprograms preferred.
• Heavy Duty Truck: 1 year (Preferred)
• Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
