Job summary

Castle CDJR of Chesterton is seeking a Parts Counter Salesperson with at least two years of parts sales experience to join our team. You will manage the full parts sales process, communicate with customers about parts status, and use the parts catalog to locate specific items.

Responsibilities include handling phone quotes, delivering high-level service to customers, maintaining stock accuracy, and coordinating with the parts manager on stock needs. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience selling parts.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Ability to read/interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Ability to calculate figures including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, % and volume.
• Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up and speaking to specific parts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Converse effectively regarding customer parts status.
• Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up and speaking to specific parts.
• Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information to customers.
• Provide high-level service to both internal and external customers.
• Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit an emergency order.
• Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on the service repair order.
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.

What You’ll Do:
