Description

Position Summary: Represents the company to its customers for the purpose of selling parts and other merchandise. Records and tracks merchandise and maintains inventory control system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  1. Works well with customers, promotes a positive image of the company, and strives to promptly resolve issues raised by customers.
  2. Makes necessary entries to inventory control systems assuring proper records are kept with current pricing as well as the recording and entering of special orders.
  3. Promotes preventive maintenance service specials, educates customers on benefits of preventative maintenance.
  4. Participates in all inventory counts as necessary.
  5. Assists in maintaining minimal inventory quantities, tracks orders and investigates problems.
  6. Participates in part returns following established procedures as required.
  7. Assists in verifying cost, price, and totals of parts invoices and repair orders.
  8. Utilizes established procedures to properly track lost sales.
  9. Maintains a current knowledge of product information through bulletins and catalogs and by participating in training requirements as directed by Parts Manager.
  10. Keeps all invoicing to customers current.
  11. Completes all required documentation in a prompt and thorough manner as required following established procedures.
  12. Follows proper labeling and handling of defective merchandise.
  13. Documents discrepancies between inventory records and shelf quantities and notifies Parts Manager.
  14. Maintains workstation, the parts room, retail sales floor and displays to meet or exceed company standards.
  15. Works as part of a team, offering and seeking assistance when needed.
  16. Delivers parts to customers and vendors as directed.
  17. Maintains a safe working environment and adheres to company safety program at all times.
  18. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: Individual should have a high school diploma or its equivalent. Individual must have the ability to maintain a high degree of motivation in team members to retain the focus of providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.

The individual should have a minimum of six months of related experience, a steady work record, and must be able to perform each of the essential position functions.

  • Ability to get around the dealership and grounds for various tasks.
  • The employee would normally lift or move 10 lbs., frequently lift or move up to 45 lbs., and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to tolerate up and down movement with bending or stooping including reaching above and below shoulder height with arms and hands.
  • Ability to be on one's feet for extended periods of time either walking or standing.
  • Ability to operate equipment or other power equipment as necessary.
  • Ability to climb small step ladder and stairs.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 70 lbs. of force.
  • Must meet health assessment requirements.
