Job summary

I-State Truck Center in Rogers, Minnesota is seeking a Parts Counter Representative. You will source and purchase parts, manage inventory, price parts for customers and technicians, and assist with transactions.

Experience in parts counter preferred, especially for heavy-duty trucks/equipment; strong communication; familiarity with inventory systems; ability to lift heavy objects; weekend/evening flexibility.

• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment, preferably in automotive or heavy-duty equipment parts sales.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using computerized inventory systems and basic computer applications.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects as necessary.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work weekends or evenings, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lookup, price, and purchase parts for on-highway diesel trucks, Thomas bus, East trailers, and Carrier.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to technicians.
• Enter and pick customer orders from stock.
• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Utilize computerized inventory systems to locate parts and check availability.
• Process parts orders accurately and efficiently, including invoicing and accepting payment.
• Maintain a clean and organized parts counter and work area.
• Assist with receiving and stocking parts shipments.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

Overview

Job Title: Parts Counter Representative

Company: I-State Truck Center

Location: Rogers, Minnesota

I-State Truck Center is seeking a Parts Counter Representative for our Rogers, Minnesota location. We are looking for candidates with any parts counter experience, with a preference for heavy-duty trucks or equipment. In this role you will source and purchase parts, manage parts inventory, and price parts for our customers and technicians. Familiarity with computer-based parts programs is a plus.

Pay Range: $25-$35/hour DOE

Shift: Monday-Friday 9:30am-6:00pm

As a Parts Counter Representative, you will assist customers and technicians with their heavy-duty truck parts needs. You will provide exceptional customer service, identify and locate the correct parts, process transactions accurately, and maintain inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering top-notch service to our customers.
