Job summary

Sexton Ford Sales, Inc is seeking a Parts Counter Person to support customer service and retail sales in our auto parts environment. You will sell parts, stock inventory, and assist in inventory management as needed.

Responsibilities include overseeing the sales process, locating parts not in stock with the parts manager, handling special orders, and communicating with customers and staff in a friendly, professional manner while adhering to safety policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent as minimum education.
• Minimum 1 year in service department (preferred).
• Experience with auto parts sales (preferred).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
• Positive, friendly attitude and good work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock.
• Complete special order part request for customers.
• Communicate with customers on parts status.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry.
