Job summary

Ford is seeking a Parts Counter Person to provide customer service and drive retail parts sales at a busy auto parts store. The role includes processing sales, assisting customers, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of automobiles, solid reading and math skills, and the ability to learn new systems. Prior Ford dealership experience is a plus; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus.
• Ability to identify the problem quickly.
• Knowledge of automobiles.
• Effective analytical and communication skills.
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Minimum of 1 year in service department.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Positive, friendly attitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with auto parts sales (preferred).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented, have a professional appearance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock.
• Complete special order part request for the customer.
• Communicate with customer on parts status.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry.
