Four Star Freightliner, a leading Southeast heavy/medium-duty truck dealer, is seeking a Parts Counter Sales associate for the Montgomery, AL location. You will assist customers, quote prices, and manage stock orders while ensuring customers receive invoices.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and at least two years in heavy-duty or automotive parts. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Responsabilidades

• Assist customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional manner.
• Inform customers of companion parts and specials to expose full product line.

• Pull and fill orders from stock and notify manager of stock needs.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pickup.
• Assist outside sales representatives with orders.
• Ensure charge sales are signed and invoices copied to customers.

Four Star Freightliner is the Southeast region’s leading heavy and medium-duty truck dealer that offers a comprehensive line of Freightliner and Western Star brand trucks for both highway and vocational use. We are currently seeking a Parts Counter Sales for our Montgomery, ALlocation.

• Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
• Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customeris exposed to the full product line
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
• Provides high level of service to internal and external customers
• Pulls and fills orders from stock
• Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
• Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order if necessary
• Follows up on back-ordered parts
• Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those itemsnot picked up or required
• Replenishes assigned inventory daily
• Assists outside sales representatives with their orders
• Ensures that all charge sales are signed by the customer
• Ensures that all customers receive their copy of the invoice
• Issues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified
• Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up
• Solicits assigned accounts by phone
• Keeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered
• Participates in company required training
• Keeps current on new products and product updates
• Participates with the manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program
• Maintains a professional appearance
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of two years of experience in heavy-duty or automotive parts-related work
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Experience working with the public in a sale or service environment

• Active listening skills, including the ability to understand customer needs and ask appropriate questions
• Persuasive communication skills to influence decisions and outcomes
• Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Technical Skills

• Intermediate knowledge of Windows-based applications, including:
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Procede Experience Plus
• Strong overall computer proficiency is PLUS

Physical & Workplace Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
• Ability to maintain an organized and clean workspace
